Description


Key Responsibilities:To ensure the board operates effectively, ethically, and in alignment with the organization’s bylaws and best governance practices.

  • Board Recruitment & Orientation:

  • Lead the recruitment, nomination, and onboarding of new board members.

  • Ensure new members receive appropriate orientation and training.

  • Board Development:

  • Organize ongoing training and development opportunities for board members.

  • Facilitate regular evaluations of board performance (individually and collectively).

  • Policy & Compliance Oversight:

  • Review and recommend updates to bylaws, policies, and governance procedures.

  • Ensure adherence to board roles, responsibilities, and ethical standards.



Qualifications: Strong interest in policy work and/or compliance. Strong documentation skills. Experience writing bylaws and/or strategic plans.
