Veterans Day Honoring Service Project

We are seeking Military Veterans, family members of Veterans, and other volunteers to help rebuild the Gardening Club at the University of Houston-Downtown in honor of Veterans Day.  Veterans and their families will have an opportunity to engage young servant leaders and promote service as a path to leadership. The event will commence with the Travis Manion Foundation’s "If Not Me, Then Who" presentation, directed towards youth to provide the content for why service is important. The projects will motivate youth to recognize the value of sacrifice and foster a spirit of service in others, while also increasing the connection between local community members and the military population living within these communities.
