On Monday, November 10th, the Veteran Golf Classic will be hosted at the GolfCrest Country Club and the TopGolf Houston West location. Lone Star Veterans Association will be participating in the event with a golf team of veterans, however, needs to also provide volunteers to help with setup, registration, handing out equipment and other duties to be determined
The GolfCrest Country Club Tournament will start at 9:00am, whereas the TopGolf event will begin at 1:00p.m. 5 Volunteers are needed for each event. Please email Ashley@lonestarveterans.org if interested.
The Veteran Golf Classic has raised over $80,000 in the last two years to support local veterans their families. Funds raised will be dedicated to the Folds of Honor Foundation and Lone Star Veterans Association.
The Lone Star Veterans Association is a non-for-profit organization that is dedicated to assisting returning veterans and their families in making a successful transition from the military to civilian world. Founded by veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, they provide career transition, social programs, peer mentoring, PTSD support, family events, community service projects, and advocacy on behalf of the Post 9/11 military generation. The Lone Star Veterans Association operates in the Greater Houston Area and is the largest Iraq and Afghanistan veteran organization in the state of Texas.
