Houston Pro-Am has a long rich history in Houston, which includes a partnership with the City of Houston, Parks and Recreation Department, Fonde Community Center. For over 30 years, NBA, NCAA and Overseas players have come to Houston to entertain and give inner-city youth and local college students the opportunity to play with and against NBA players as well as provide an opportunity for the community to experience these talents firsthand free of charge! This is the signature event for the No Excuses Foundation, a 501©3 nonprofit who prides itself on community initiatives that positively affect the lives of youth. The mission of the foundation is to make a difference in the lives of underserved/disadvantaged youth while focusing on the four program areas of Education, The Arts, Athletics and Outreach. The foundation is integrating a STEM component during the league, giving interns the opportunity to learn about analytics through basketball. We are also hosting a School Supplies Drive during the duration of the league and ask all attendees to bring school supplies. At the end of the season, we will donate the supplies to deserving schools.
