Who We Are
Target Hunger, one of the city’s largest non-profit organizations, is committed to addressing this urgent issue and its underlying causes. Through our Food Assistance and Navigation Programs, we support low-income families by meeting their immediate need for food while also helping them break the cycle of poverty that leads to chronic hunger. In 2025, Target Hunger provided food to over 25,000 individuals, serving over 9,200 households.
What We Do
The mission of Target Hunger is to alleviate hunger and its root causes in the Houston neighborhoods we serve. What began as a small, community based grass roots organization in 1989, has grown into one of the largest organizations that distributes food to families in need in the Greater Houston area.
