Who We Are

Program scope: Our Programs and services include a “The MEN Institute”, a series of workshops, seminars and after school initiatives that focus on Leadership, Entrepreneurship, College readiness, Careers, and Financial freedom. The purpose of The MEN Institute is to bring all of these components together under one umbrella to capture "at-risk" students at times where they are most like to fall to the perils of their environment, after school and summer vacation. The program is designed to encourage young men into a progressive and prosperous future and to prepare them for adulthood and the workforce. We will teach them how to be self-sufficient, self-reliant and equip them with tools needed to contribute to society in the most meaningful way possible. We are positive that The MEN Institute will promote self-awareness, usher in a new respect for education, increase individual self-worth, self-esteem, confidence and increase effective leadership. Partnered with active community service projects we will encourage these young men to have a hands on approach to improving their communities and quality of life.

The MEN Institute will directly address the need to educate young men and other community members on the importance of financial literacy, relationship stability and other pressing life issues. This program has and will directly impact young men who feel "left out" or "forgotten" due to past mistakes or situations. These young men have a desire to learn how to properly save money, invest money and spend properly which will be learned in the MEN Institute Workshops. These will all improve the overall self-esteem and confidence of these young men who will in turn improve their graduation rates, employment chances and ultimately decrease incarceration and crime rates by educating them on the important of self-respect and community pride

What We Do

The Name: M-Mentoring E-Educating N-Nurturing. This idea came from the realization that young men in the community really have no place to receive help with many aspects of life. The name itself did not take much brain storming because the targeted audience was already set; men. We wanted the name to embody what our mission would be but also be catchy so M.E.N. was born.

Mission:  The mission of M.E.N. Inc. is to mentor, educate & nurture young men regardless of ethnicity or sexual orientation within available resources allowed.

Primary Purpose: The purpose in forming the M.E.N. Inc. is to reach out to young men aging 13-27 who are considered “at risked” or underserved from low to moderate income families and communities with a positive male role influence and interaction with peers.
