Who We Are
WHAT WE DO LOCALLY
IN THE U.S.: We partner with leading cancer research institutions and hospitals, universities and other non-profit organizations to educate our communities and support those women whose lives have been touched by the scourge of ovarian cancer. Finally, we are ardent supporters of research and champions of doctors and medical scientists who are tirelessly working to save lives and bring about breakthroughs to prevent, heal and eradicate ovarian cancer from our planet.
Key Programs:
Financial Support for Ovarian Cancer Patients In Need: OvarCare© is a financial and psycho-social support and care program for ovarian cancer patients in active treatment at one of our partner hospitals.
Research Grants For Clinical Impact: We award research grants to scientists focused on ovarian cancer especially those who are working to develop treatments for patients.
Women’s Cancer Awareness Workshops: We host educational outreach events and informational seminars integrating researchers, clinicians, survivors, families, and caregivers to learn and educate about the latest developments in diagnosis and care continuum of women’s cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and survivorship.
Community Outreach: We also provide various survivor support and spotlight programs, sharing stories and celebrating these incredibly strong and resilient women.
WHAT WE DO GLOBALLY
Our work globally is currently focused on awareness campaigns and providing treatment support to underprivileged women in developing nations.
Key Programs:
IN INDIA:
Financial Grants for Treatment Support: We provide these grants to underprivileged women for multiple rounds of chemotherapy treatment in direct partnership with the Tata Medical Center, Kolkata, India. In India, underprivileged women often subsist on less than $100 per month, and the cost of chemotherapy can range from $250 - $500, depending on the round of treatment.
Physician Led Detection, Prevention and Screening Workshops: We conduct physician led workshops regarding women’s cancers (ovarian, breast and cervical) in rural areas of India and educate on early detection of symptoms, prevention and screening techniques.
Awareness Programs: We promote cancer awareness by distributing informational postcards translated in various regional languages of India.
IN AFRICA:
Awareness Programs: We partner with Christian Ministries of Africa (CMA) to distribute awareness postcards to hundreds of women in remote villages in and around Nairobi, Kenya. Our representatives educate women in these regions about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and discuss treatment options with them. Similar programs are planned in Kenya and other parts of Africa in the future.
