National Center for Urban Solutions

The African American Male Wellness Agency (AAMWA) is the health and wellness arm of the National Center for Urban Solutions (NCUS), dedicated to improving the health, wellness, and quality of life of African American men, their families, and communities. We believe that every individual should have access to the resources, information, and opportunities needed to live a healthy and productive life. Through community engagement, health education, prevention initiatives, and free health screenings, we bring critical wellness resources directly into the communities we serve. Our work goes beyond health screenings. We build partnerships with healthcare organizations, corporations, foundations, community leaders, faith-based organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to address health disparities and create sustainable solutions. With a presence across communities throughout the country, our collective work has helped connect more than 35,000 people across 11 states and multiple cities with health, wellness, education, and community resources. At AAMWA, our mission is simple: to empower African American men and the communities they lead to live healthier, stronger, and longer lives.

The National Center for Urban Solutions (NCUS) is a multifaceted social enterprise with an interdisciplinary approach to addressing the needs of urban and underserved communities in workforce development, health, and education. For more than 25 years, NCUS has served as a conduit for helping African Americans and underserved communities achieve greater self-sufficiency, health, and economic stability. Through our core competencies and community partnerships, we serve as a catalyst for positive change and work to create a brighter, healthier, and more accessible future for the people we serve. A key part of our work is bringing free health and wellness resources directly into communities. Through our programs and community events, we provide free health screenings, health education, wellness resources, and connections to critical services—helping individuals identify potential health concerns and take proactive steps toward better health. To date, NCUS has served more than 35,000 people across 11 states and multiple cities, creating opportunities for individuals and families to access resources that can improve their health, economic well-being, and quality of life. Our work is rooted in one simple principle: when we invest in people and communities, we create healthier, stronger, and more prosperous communities for everyone.
