Hearts and Hands of Baytown

Who We Are

Hearts and Hands of Baytown is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating physical and emotional hunger while empowering individuals and families to build healthier, more stable futures. Founded in 2014 as a ministry of Iglesia Cristo Viene, Hearts and Hands has grown into one of the region's leading organizations for healthy food access and a trusted community resource. We believe every neighbor deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. Through innovative programs, strategic partnerships, and thousands of dedicated volunteers, we provide more than nutritious food—we connect our neighbors to the resources, education, and support they need to thrive. Our work addresses both immediate needs and the underlying causes of food insecurity, transforming today's assistance into tomorrow's opportunity. Every day, we bring together volunteers, healthcare providers, schools, businesses, faith communities, and nonprofit partners to strengthen our community. Together, we are creating pathways to health, hope, and self-sufficiency—one family, one meal, and one life at a time. Turning compassion into action and the safety net into a springboard for lasting change.

What We Do

Hearts and Hands of Baytown is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to alleviating physical and emotional hunger while addressing the root causes of food insecurity. We provide dignified access to healthy food through our Client Choice Fresh Market, Food for Change Fresh Market, Doorstep Blessing home delivery program, community Food Fairs, and outreach initiatives. Beyond food assistance, our Community Assistance Program connects neighbors with SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, financial resources, and other essential services that promote long-term stability and self-sufficiency. Through strategic partnerships, compassionate volunteers, and innovative programming, we are transforming the traditional food pantry into a hub of hope—improving health, strengthening families, and building a healthier, more resilient community. Hearts and Hands of Baytown provides more than food—we provide hope. Through healthy food access, nutrition-focused programs, home delivery for vulnerable neighbors, community outreach, and resource navigation, we help individuals and families move from crisis toward stability with dignity, compassion, and respect. We fill pantries, touch hearts, and build pathways to lasting stability by combining healthy food access with compassionate support and life-changing community partnerships. We believe food is the beginning—not the end—of the conversation. Every interaction is an opportunity to improve health, connect neighbors with vital resources, and help families build a stronger future.
