Forgotten Wishes Foundation

Who We Are

Established in 2020 by local mom and disability advocate Lisa Dempsey, Forgotten Wishes Foundation was created to help people with disabilities feel remembered, valued, and connected. Inspired by lived experience and more than 30 years of advocacy, the organization brings communities together through the Forget-Me-Not Friends Club and volunteer-driven “Happy Mail” programs that create meaningful moments of belonging through simple acts of kindness.

What We Do

Our flagship program is the Forget-Me-Not Friends Club for anyone with a disability. Forgotten Wishes Foundation helps people with disabilities feel remembered and connected through our Forget-Me-Not Friends Club and heartfelt “Happy Mail” created by volunteers. Through card-making parties and volunteer events, individuals, schools, companies, and community groups create friendly cards with thoughtful notes that are mailed to club members across the country, reminding them they are part of a community that cares.
