Who We Are

WHCA is a 501c4 that was established by neighbors on December 10, 1986. We are neighbors who volunteer their time to serve on the Woodland Heights Civic Association to represent the historic neighborhood established in 1907 by the William Wilson Realty Company and are located within two miles from downtown Houston and just north of White Oak Bayou. Our goal is to advocate for this neighborhood.

What We Do

Our mission is to foster a strong sense of community, enhance the quality of life for residents, and promote the unique character of Woodland Heights through active engagement, events, and advocacy. We organize events, advocate for residents' interests, and preserve Woodland Heights' rich history. Events we organize include Lights in the Heights, WHCA Home Tour, Beautification and Maintenance of 4 esplanades, and support of neighborhood historic buildings and deed restrictions.
