Who We Are

Covenant House Texas is a faith-based organization committed to giving youth experiencing homeless a safe haven, absolute respect, unconditional love, and a path to lasting independence. Covenant House was founded in 1972 in response to the growing problem of kids living unprotected on the harsh streets of New York City. Since then, the organization has become the largest private shelter organization for homeless kids, with 31 locations spanning North and Central America. Located in the Montrose neighborhood, CHT primarily serves Houston and Harris County, the third most populous county in the United States.
