We strive to cultivate a community where people feel connected, valued, and invested in the wellbeing and progress of the neighborhood.
Our History
The South Union Proud Civic Association was established to bring neighbors together under a shared commitment to community improvement and collective action. Recognizing the importance of organized neighborhood advocacy, residents formed the Association to create a platform where community concerns, ideas, and opportunities could be discussed openly and addressed collaboratively.
Since its formation, SUPCA has worked to elevate the image of the South Union community while strengthening relationships with the City of Houston, public agencies, nonprofit partners, and other neighborhood organizations. Through civic engagement, community initiatives, and neighborhood events, the Association continues to build pride, strengthen communication, and advocate for the resources and support needed to help South Union thrive.
