The Domestic Truth Foundation (DTF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Houston, Texas, dedicated to empowering survivors of domestic violence to rebuild their lives with safety, dignity, and purpose. We believe that healing begins with truth — and that every survivor deserves access to the resources, education, and community support needed to thrive beyond trauma. Our foundation provides a wide range of free programs and services, including crisis intervention, case management, emergency relocation and safety planning, empowerment coaching, art healing workshops, online courses, job readiness support, and self-defense training. Through our Art Healing Program, survivors of all ages find creative ways to process pain and rediscover their strength through meaningful artistic expression and reflection. Our Case Management Program connects individuals and families with vital resources such as housing, counseling, and legal aid. DTF is more than a nonprofit — it’s a movement for change. We are committed to justice system reform, advocating for stronger laws, survivor-centered policies, and a national offender registry to prevent future abuse. Our ultimate vision includes building a community center, safe housing, and wellness spaces where survivors can find long-term stability and empowerment. At the heart of everything we do is compassion, advocacy, and the unwavering belief that together, we can break the cycle of violence and build a safer future for all.
