SIRE Therapeutic Horsemanship

The mission of SIRE is to provide a community where horses help people with disabilities and challenges to live their best life.

Side Walkers: no horse experience necessary and responsible for offering support to the rider for the lesson, this can range from physically supporting the rider on the horse to simply redirecting the rider’s attention occasionally.

Horse Leaders: horse experience required. responsible for leading the horse during the lesson.

Outside of the Arena: tasks can include, but not limited to, sweeping, mucking out pastures, deep cleaning water pans/feed pans, putting shavings in stalls.
