Who We Are

Mission Statement -

TERJA Foundation works with communities to create quality education, equitable and sustainable opportunities for learning and growth, and collaborative problem-solving for children and youth around the world, especially for those who are marginalized.

Vision

To be the lead contributor to the independence and self-reliance of the world’s children and youth, through sustainable, inclusive, quality holistic education and mindful experiential learning systems.

History

TERJA foundation is in honor of Teresa and Jackson Osundwa, both advocates of an equitable education especially that of the girl child. The idea of TERJA Foundation was first suggested in 2013 by one of Terry and Jack’s children, Lynette Injette Ochola, a development professional with over 20 years experience in international development.

In 2021 TERJA set up its global office in Houston, USA and an Africa office in Nairobi, Kenya. The global office was founded by Dr Judith Ashika Skeele. The objective of TERJA is to help vulnerable communities, children and youth (girls in particular) to improve their living conditions in the long term.
