Earth Day has inspired people for more than five decades to come together and volunteer for the places we call home. This year, under the banner of “Our Power, Our Planet,” Volunteer Houston invites individuals across our region to celebrate by taking part in hands-on activities that create positive change for our communities and environment.

From planting trees—which improves air quality and creates safer, greener neighborhoods—to addressing community cleanups in neighborhoods, parks, and waterways, to projects that reduce plastic waste and restore natural habitats, volunteers play a vital role in keeping Houston vibrant, healthy, and resilient.
