Volunteer Role Description:
Volunteers will assist with hands-on warehouse operations that directly support families recovering from disasters, displacement, and housing instability. Tasks may include:

Sorting and organizing donated furniture

Preparing items for client delivery

Light warehouse support and staging

Supporting last-mile disaster recovery efforts

This work helps families transition from crisis back into stable housing.

Who Can Volunteer:

Individuals (18+)

Small groups & corporate teams welcome

No experience required

Must be able to stand, walk, and lift light-to-moderate items

What to Wear / Bring:

Closed-toe shoes (required)

Comfortable work clothes

Water bottle

Why This Matters:
Every piece of furniture sorted helps a household move off the floor and closer to stability after disaster or displacement.

 Wesley's Food Pantry needs volunteers for our Choice Food Pantry to help our Houston neighbors who are in desperate need of food. 

Duties include:

Organize, sort, and stock donated food items, including loading and unloading freezers, refrigerators, and shelves.Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the pantry.

Skills Needed:

The ability to uphold our standards of client confidentiality. The ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds.

Mondays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (limit to 10 volunteers)

Tuesdays through Thursdays 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (limit to 10 volunteers)

Our address is 1235 Lorraine St. Please arrive 10 minutes before your shift. Parking is available on the street, being careful not to block driveways, and enter at the large gate on Gano St. If you are running late for your shift, please call 713-821-8950.

Every Monday and Wednesday, Hope Impacts offers the opportunity for the homeless community of Katy to come have breakfast, fellowship together, take a shower, and receive basic necessities and clothes.  We need volunteers to help us facilitate this program. 

Positions will be assigned upon arrival and may include: 

Clothing Closet Attendant Shower List Monitor Kitchen Monitor Donation Sorting General Office AssistanceTeacher AssistantSet Up / Clean Up

MINORS BETWEEN 16-18 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED AT ALL TIMES & EVENTS BY A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN.

IF YOU NEED COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS (CSH) YOU MUST APPLY DIRECTLY WITH THE Volunteer Coordinator BY EMAILING Robert@hopeImpacts.org  CSH is approved on a case by case basis and approval can take up to 5 business days, you will need to schedule in advance accordingly, thank you.
