Agape Development serves the OST/South Union neighborhood and owns the Haven of OST, a twenty-unit motel​ that operates as a month-to-month rental progra​m. ​Agape Development pay​s hotel and motel tax because of the occupancy code. Agape Development would like to upgrade The Haven to a long-term rental or dwelling units. The Haven structure needs to be built as CAD files to move forward in this process. Each room will need to be individually measured prior to creating the CAD files.

Are you able to share a sport or an artistic skill? Or teach them to cook or bake something? 10am- 11am *Volunteer must be over 18 yrs old.

Agape Development offers a fun-filled and action-packed summer camp experience for both the K-5th graders and 6th-12th graders of the neighborhood.

You can be a part of our summer camps by providing lunch to our participants! Sign up your family, small group, or company to provide lunch for our camp participants.

Lunch can be provided for both groups or you can choose which group to provide lunch for. Camp Agape will provide lunch to approximately 100 students and staff each day of camp. Agape Teen Summer Experience will provide lunch to approximately 35 students and staff each day.

Help support our mentor program by donating tickets or experiences that the teens would enjoy! Our mentors have worked hard to building a strong bond with a teen from our program. They commit to meeting up with their mentee at least twice a month and enjoy getting out to experience things around Houston. Do you have sports tickets, festival or museum passes, restaurant gift cards, or other fun activities that could be used for the mentor outings? Do you have connections with organizations that may donate tickets?

Camp Assistants help increase the capacity of our K-5th grade summer camp. Camp Assistants will join in on group worship, crafts, games, and other fun activities! We hope this experience will give you insight into urban ministry and developing future leaders.

This is a five day commitment - Monday through Friday from 9:30am - 4:30pm.

*Volunteers must have completed their freshman year of high school and attend a community engagement training.

Spend a Thursday afternoon with our kids and share your hobby with the children! What are you good at? What do you enjoy doing? Activities need to be hands on and interactive. Idea: Build a rocket, tie dye shirts, paint rocks, etc. All ages welcome. Thursday 07/02 and 07/09  from 1:00-2:30pm. Approximately 15 children per group.

We are looking for a volunteer to help us set up digital signage on the tv in our lobby. We would like it to show photos and important announcements using an app to update. Volunteer will provide us with options for apps and help us get it set up. 

*Volunteer Houston requires duration and hours. Actual hours for this project will vary from stated, we just don't know what it will take realistically.

Do you have experience with online store platforms?

Agape Development would like to set up an online store where supporters and staff can purchase branded items. Help us set up our Swag Store!
