Volunteer Job Description: Participate as a "Night of Event Volunteer" for the Houston Boots & Bling for Stronger Bones, benefitting the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation on Saturday, October 25, 2025. This event features a band, live and silent auctions, and a fund the mission moment. Guests are treated to a buffet dinner. 

Responsibilities: 1. Attend one in-person meeting before the event to learn about Osteogenesis Imperfecta, the event details, and your responsibilities for the night of the event. 2. You will be explaining to guest attendees how to use their cell phones to place online bids during Boots and Bling for Better Bones.

Requirements: Seeking local high school Juniors and Seniors who have their own transportation. You must have an iPhone or an Android.  Must be technically savvy with both iPhones and Android devices. Must bring your driver's license. 

Purpose: Seeking 10 High School Juniors and Seniors from the Greater Houston Area. Volunteers will guide guests on how to use their iPhone or Android devices to place bids online. 

What is the Event? Boots & Bling for Better Bones benefitting the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation. When: Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Armadillo Palace in Houston. Guests have the opportunity to bid on silent and live auctions, and the premier moment, to fund the mission. A buffet will be served. Music provided by a local group.

Responsibilities: 1. Attend one face-to-face meeting to learn about your responsibilities, our cause, and the event night details. Date of meeting to be determined. 

2. Must have your own iPhone or Android device. Must have a photo ID and provide your transportation to and from the event.

3. Must be able to show those who are less tech savvy how to use their phones to place online bids.
