PAIR Houston is looking for volunteers for our new Virtual Volunteer Program. We'll be working with students from middle and high schools from Houston, TX, who will need assistance with various things like homework help, English speaking practice, and academic coaching.

Support the next generation of refugee leaders as a Global Scholars Mentor.

PAIR mentors empower 11th grade refugee and immigrant students as they explore college, careers and the possibilities ahead. Through weekly check-ins, guided conversations and shared learning, mentors help students build confidence, clarity, and a vision for their future.

Just a few hours each month can open doors, spark growth and transform a life - including your own.

PAIR is looking for caring, consistent volunteers to mentor and tutor refugee and immigrant middle school and high school students as they adjust to life in a new country. You'll support students with homework, English practice, confidence building and navigating school - all while forming meaningful connections across cultures.

No experience required - only kindness, patience and a willingness to show up every week. PAIR provides training, curriculum resources and on-site support.


What You'll Do:

Tutor students in homework, English and core subjectsBuild positive, encouraging mentor relationshipsLead or support fun small-group activitiesPractice communication, teamwork, and problem-solving with youthWork closely with PAIR staff in a supportive, energetic environment
