Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Volunteer Grant Writer to support our mission by identifying and securing county, state, and federal grant funding. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in writing successful grant proposals and navigating the grant application process. This role is critical to helping us secure funding for our operational costs and expand our impact in the communities we serve.

Responsibilities:

Research and identify grant opportunities at the county, state, and federal levels that align with our mission.

Draft, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and supporting documents.

Track grant application deadlines and ensure timely submissions.

Collaborate with our team to gather necessary information and data for proposals.

Maintain records of submitted proposals and track outcomes.

Assist in reporting requirements and compliance with awarded grants.

Qualifications:

Proven experience writing and securing county and federal grants.

Strong writing, research, and communication skills.

Ability to understand and articulate the mission and programs of Mentoring Mighty Minds.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.

Passion for education, community development, and youth empowerment.

Time Commitment:

Redesign or update the organization’s website for clarity, accessibility, and visual appeal.

Create and implement a content calendar for social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).

Design graphics and write copy to promote programs, events, and impact stories.

Track engagement metrics and adjust strategies as needed.

Collaborate with the team to align messaging with the organization's goals and values.

Recommend and implement tools or platforms to increase our digital reach and efficiency.

Qualifications:

Experience with website platforms (e.g., WordPress, Wix, Squarespace).

Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Canva, Buffer, Hootsuite).

Strong sense of branding, storytelling, and audience engagement.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
