Needs From: Volunteer Houston

Be the first smiling face as homeless clients come into our Day Center!  We are seeking compassionate and dedicated volunteers to support our homeless clients by coordinating and managing shower schedules, assisting with laundry services, assisting with client check-in, helping to schedule or connect clients with needed services, and/or supporting meal service set-up and clean-up (no food preparation required). All volunteers are expected to interact with guests, offering dignity, fellowship, and a welcoming presence to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Help us support our neighbors in CFISD by serving in our Community Food Pantry! Volunteers play a hands-on role in ensuring families receive nutritious food by stocking, sorting, and distributing food in a welcoming and respectful environment.  We are seeking individuals who can commit to a regular schedule. No prior experience is necessary—just a heart to serve.   Bi-lingual Spanish and Vietnamese are especially encouraged to volunteer.

Opportunities are available on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., as well as the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month during the same hours.

Food Pick-Up Drivers play a vital role in ensuring families receive nutritious food by picking up food from local retailers one morning per week, typically on a Monday or Thursday, and delivering it between 9:00 - 9:30 to our community food pantry.  Pick-up locations are in Cy-Fair.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to regularly give back to their community but may have limited time to volunteer, with a total commitment of approximately 1½ hours per week.
