We are looking for a talented Social Media Manager to oversee and administer our social media accounts. This is a volunteer position. You will be responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts, and responding to followers. You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals. As a Social Media Manager, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our rescue’s views and animals creatively. Ultimately, you should be able to handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement, building out a team as the need arises. We are seeking a Volunteer Social Media Manager who can work from the comfort of their home that will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

Running company social media advertising campaigns. Develop a team of Social Media/PR volunteers, creating an infrastructure of support to manage all aspects of digital marketing. Formulating high-quality written and visual content for each social media campaign. Building a social media presence by maintaining a solid online presence. Monitoring the company's brand on social media. Building brand awareness by engaging relevant influencers. Managing our online communities to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement. Responding to comments on each of our accounts. Overseeing customer service provided via social media. Analyzing data to determine whether social media campaigns have achieved their objectives.

Qualities to Ensure Success:

Social media/digital marketing expertise Experience developing social media/content strategies. Experience working with and developing a marketing plan. Ability to develop the right voice for each social media platform. Ability to generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos, and news) Manage our online communities to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement; respond to comments on each of our accounts. Excellent writing skills Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video) Ability to build social media communities Monitoring the company's brand on social media. Ability to build brand awareness by engaging relevant influencers. Knowledge of online marketing channels Excellent communication and multitasking skills Ability to measure the success of campaigns LOVES Youth (of course) Education networking experience a plus but not required Knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics a plus

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

List most important duties first   1. Assists teacher(s) with student academic goals, by working with small groups of children or an individual child. 2. Assists teacher(s) in the enforcement of classroom management and behavioral plans, creating an environment that is appropriate for learning. 3. Assists with supervising students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, special events, and program. 4. Help in answering students' questions. 5. Keep students on track and engage in meaningful discussion 6. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.   MINIMUM EDUCATION   HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA (optional) Some College (optional)   WORK EXPERIENCE or VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE   Previously worked with children   LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES   No supervisory or direct people management responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice, and training to staff.   WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT   Work and tasks are often straightforward, routine, structured, and guided by established policies and procedures. Little, if any, independent judgment is required, outside of making basic choices in the selection and application of established methods. The job receives frequent, ongoing supervision.   PROBLEM-SOLVING   Decisions are made on routine matters affecting few individuals and usually within the confines of the job's own department. Specific job activities and results are typically reviewed closely. There are limited requirements for developing new ideas or changes in methods, procedures or services.   IMPACT OF DECISIONS   Follows rules and procedures. Errors can be readily detected, usually by the employee, and, if made, would result in minor expenses for correction.   COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONS   Basic communication - very little communication is required such as receiving basic instructions. Interactions are mostly with customers, their own supervisor, and co-workers in their own department.   CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS   Follows through with customer inquiries, requests, and complaints. Forwards difficult and nonroutine inquiries or requests to the appropriate level for resolution.   WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS   Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment that does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements. Ability to carry and/or lift less than 15 pounds.

We are looking for energetic and passionate tutors with a sense of humor and warmth, and love working with children, their families as well as connecting easily with students, teachers, and parents. 

Potential tutors would work with students 1st-12th grade. The role would consist of:

1. supporting students to make informed academic (Reading/History) and life decisions  problem-solving;

2. meet with students once a week to check progress;

3.

4. report to administrator with progress reports;

5. adhere to the safety and professional guidelines of the organization and

6. dedicate 4-12 hours monthly (at least 2 hours weekly) Monday-Thursday (flexibility on days)

7. commit to the time frame of one of the programs listed: Summer (June - August) or Fall (September - December) or Spring (January - May). We know life happens, so flexibility is key to being successful in this role.
