Volunteer: 3rd Saturday Food & Supply Distribution - Bread Of Life, Inc

The Bread of Life, Inc. Community Supplies Distribution will be held on the campus of St. John's Downtown UMC, 2019 Crawford St. 77002, on the third Saturday of each month 

Volunteers are needed for setup, registration, traffic control, and to load food/relief items into vehicles as they drive through. The volunteers are needed from 7am-12:30pm. Partial shifts are acceptable.

All minors will need a Minor Waiver. Seven years old is the minimum age for distribution days, anyone 7yrs to 13 years of age must have an adult accompany them  Please complete the Minor Volunteer Waiver for anyone under 18.

 

Bread of Life. Inc. is located on the campus of St. John's UMC Downtown at 2019 Crawford St., Houston, TX 77002. The distribution takes place behind the church, underneath the Pierce Elevated. Parking for volunteers is available in the parking lot across the street from the church on Gray St., all other parking is metered Mon - Sat until 6pm, (with the exception of Jackson St. where street parking is free).

Please sign in when you arrive and sign out when you leave. Please consider downloading the CauseConnect App, Click here to get the App to check in onsite and bypass the Kiosk. Remember to edit your hours to reflect actual time served, rather than the default time. You can also Check In and Out via a link emailed the morning of the volunteer opportunity.

Volunteers must adhere to current CDC and BOL health and safety guidelines. 

Volunteer events involve physical labor, please consider this when deciding if the event is right for you. Wear comfortable clothing. Volunteers must wear closed toe shoes (no sandals, Crocs, etc.).

Bread of Life staff and leaders will coordinate and direct volunteers to assure health and safety measures are being met.
