Purpose This position supports the Regional Disaster Cycle Services department. The Recovery Services Client Care Program allows the Red Cross to rapidly meet disaster-caused needs by enabling clients to apply and receive financial assistance and/or community resources. The Client Care Program Service Associate supports the recovery of disaster affected individuals, households, and communities by providing referrals, advocacy, and financial assistance through RC Care (case management system).

Volunteer: Men Needed To Share Their Opinions VirtuallyA Call to Men: Are you looking for a way to engage in the fight against human trafficking? Do you want to explore what defines male masculinity, healthy relationships, and violence prevention?
UAHT has launched a virtual Men’s Accountability Discussion Group to end the demand for sex trafficking and is looking for male participants. The group will use the Stopping Sexual Exploitation: A Program For Men (SSE) curriculum, a non-judgmental program based on principles of social justice and personal transformation. The curriculum -- and discussion group -- explore several topics like the harms of sexual exploitation, power and violence and is open to all men. UAHT is looking for a total of 12 men to virtually participate in two separate groups -- 6 men per group -- for 10 weeks. “Amazing facilitators, impassioned [participants], and worthwhile and thought-provoking knowledge learned/shared!” “It provides a wealth of knowledge and resources for EVERYONE -- an ally or victim." The group will use the Stopping Sexual Exploitation: A Program For Men (SSE) curriculum, a non-judgmental program based on principles of social justice and personal transformation. The curriculum -- and discussion group -- explore several topics like the harms of sexual exploitation, power and violence and is open to all men. Our case managers also distribute them. Easy-open protein items provide a great food source for our clients. Shelter Volunteers: Support those displaced by a disaster by ensuring a safe place for our clients to stay. This may be in a the gym of a school, a community center, or a faith center multi-purpose room. Shelter Service Associates complete tasks necessary for shelter operations and interacts with clients to ensure their needs are met. Shelter Service Associates support the day-to-day activities within a shelter, which can include working in reception, registration, feeding, dormitory, information or other areas within a shelter. Red Cross volunteers support the recovery process of disaster-affected individuals, households, and communities by providing advocacy, referrals and financial assistance using our case management system. There is a particular need for volunteers with ability to deploy for 2 weeks (Red Cross covers basic deployment expenses) and then keep your skills sharp in between deployments by supporting local recovery casework. Shelter Volunteers: Support those displaced by a disaster by ensuring a safe place for our clients to stay. This may be in a the gym of a school, a community center, or a faith center multi-purpose room. Shelter Service Associates complete tasks necessary for shelter operations and interacts with clients to ensure their needs are met. Shelter Service Associates support the day-to-day activities within a shelter, which can include working in reception, registration, feeding, dormitory, information or other areas within a shelter. Local shifts vary from 6 hour daytime shifts to 12 hour overnight shifts. Two week deployment opportunities available as well with 12 hour shifts. (Red Cross covers basic expenses for deployments.)
