Description

The purpose of the Harris County Medical Reserve Corps (HCPH MRC) program is to establish a network of medical and non-medical volunteers to strengthen public health, emergency response, and community resiliency during times of emergency as well as throughout the year. 

This is accomplished by:

  • Recruiting healthcare professionals and volunteers in supporting roles.
  • Matching volunteers' skills to address community needs.
  • Training volunteers to respond effectively to local emergencies.
  • Improving awareness of individual and community preparedness through outreach and education. 

Please follow these steps to register as a Harris County MRC Member:

  1. Register as an MRC volunteer - Click on link https://www.texasdisastervolunteerregistry.org/
    1. Click on “Register Now” button on the right side of the screen
    2. The very first thing on the application page is “Organizations” – click “Add Organization”
      1. A screen will pop up search for “Harris County Organizations”
      2. Click on the “+” plus sign which drops down all organizations within Harris County.
      3. Check mark the option “Harris County Medical Reserve Corps” then click on the “select” button
      4. The box will go away for you to then finish the application.
