Work alongside a PIF Farmer at a local farmers market! This is great way to get to know your farmer and your neighbors while experiencing the journey our greens take on their way from farm to table.
As a Market Volunteer you will:
- Set-up and tear down market displays
- Sell produce and merchandise
- Promote Plant It Forward
- Experience Houston food culture from a new perspective
- Let customers know about upcoming events and activities
- Route customers to online resources such as our Facebook group and Veggie guide
- Verbally inform them about ways to cook unique produce
- two training days required
