Memorial Hermann Hospice is looking for volunteers to complete administrative tasks for our hospice office. Major tasks include assembling admission packets for patients. There will also be special event tasks that will be available throughout the year. Our office is located close to Memorial Hermann Memorial City.
To become a certified hospice volunteer, candidates must complete an orientation training program. This training covers various aspects of hospice care, including exploring end-of-life issues, the dying process, grief and loss, communication, spirituality, psychosocial issues, symptom control, physical care of the dying and self-care. Volunteers will be asked to complete continuing education throughout the year.
Background check, flu shot and COVID vaccine are also required.
