Description

Every day is Earth Day at Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center!

Assist Jones Park staff in finding, documenting, and removing invasive plant species as well as conducting vital habitat management within Jones Park. When non-native plants are eradicated, more sun light can travel through the canopy to the forest floor and nurture native plants and grasses.

Participants need to wear closed-toed shoes and bring their own gloves. Long pants, a hat, and a refillable water bottle are recommended.

Meet in the Nature Center at 9 a.m. on the third Saturday of every month.
