Are you a passionate Houstonian dedicated to conserving, protecting, and restoring our waterways and bayous? If you're eager to positively impact your community but have a busy schedule, the Bayou Preservation Association is here to help! We're actively seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Outreach Volunteers.
Responsibilities:
1. Tabling Events:
- Engage with the community by operating informational booths at outreach events.
- Share our mission, distribute materials, and answer questions to raise awareness about bayou preservation.
2. Information Delivery:
- Collaborate with local businesses and community groups to disseminate relevant materials.
- Help establish partnerships and ensure information reaches a wider audience.
3. Community Engagement:
- Assist in organizing and participating in various community-driven initiatives.
- Promote environmental awareness and participation in bayou preservation activities.
4. Event Support:
- Contribute to the planning and execution of special events, campaigns, and educational programs.
- Foster a greater understanding of the importance of bayou preservation.
Qualifications:
- Passion for environmental conservation and a strong commitment to preserving local bayous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Willingness to engage with diverse community groups.
- Reliable and enthusiastic about promoting environmental awareness.
