Food insecurity, or unreliable access to nutritious food, affects about 1 in 7 households nationally. Across Houston and Harris County, 39% of households are food insecure, with the biggest impact affecting children, seniors, and low-income families. Various nonprofits work to raise awareness and provide resources to those impacted daily. Click here for more information.

Assist in prepping and distributing groceries to families in need. This may include stocking the food pantry, sorting donated items for quality and bagging groceries for individual families, as well as helping families get groceries into their cars. Volunteers may also assist clients to fill out required information for the Houston Food Bank.
The food pantry hosts clients on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
