Volunteers are needed to spend time with our hospice patients.
We at Encompass are looking for compassionate, patience, loving volunteers to spend time with our patients. They need and want someone to share their final days with and we want people with a nurturing nature to give them that most basic of needs, human contact. You would spend time with the patients talking, listening, playing games or anything the patient would want or possibly need.
Due to the nature of the patients’ conditions each volunteer will be required to pass a background check, drug test, and required training to volunteer with our patients. It might seem excessive but the care and well being of our patients is our top priority.
The process to become a volunteer takes a little bit but the rewards of giving your time to these patients is beyond measureable. You can give these people a final dignity in their darkest hour.
