Events Coordinator

The Events Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Executive Director in researching and event planning to fund CrossWalk Center Programs.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of proven nonprofit development and fundraising
  • Possess essential knowledge of event planning
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, combined with experience in managing multiple, overlapping deadlines and duties
  • Strong communication skills - especially via phone, email and text
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines concurrently
  • Software skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, DonorPerfect and/or ability to become familiar with these tools
  • Ability to receive and maintain confidential information

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for researching and identifying new organizations/churches
  • Develop effective grant proposals and grant reports based on the organizational requirement
  • Identify and understand the financial and budget matters of the organization
  • Interface and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Submit proposals within deadlines to Executive Director or concerned people for approvals
  • Attend meetings to discuss event development and updates on fundraisers.
