Due to disasters occuring acrosss the country, the American Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast region is looking for volunteers to deploy to our neighboring regions to assist with disaster relief. Complete a volunteer application today! Free online training will be provided as well as travel, meals, and lodging during deployment. Volunteers will be asked to assist in shelters. Shelter duties may include: Working in reception, registration, feeding, dormitory, information, or other areas within a shelterMeeting disaster-caused sheltering needs of individuals, families, and communitiesProviding services with kindness and compassion that are accessible and equitable to all clientsMaintaining clear communication and collaboration with supervisors and peersEnsuring accuracy in all assigned tasksProviding accurate reporting of sheltering activity as assigned
