The American Red Cross, Texas Gulf Coast Region is looking for a VOLUNTEER Deputy Direct Services Regional Lead.
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership to Disaster Cycle Services workers in performing the Direct Services activities during preparedness, response, and recovery within a Region.
Volunteers in this role can take on one of two tracks.
- Direct Services Volunteer Training Event Planning.
- Each year we host 2 region wide training "institutes" so that volunteers can take a number of disaster response and leadership courses over the of just a few days.
- Strategic Planning for Capacity Building
- Work with disaster territories within the region to help identify classes and volunteer growth needed to meet readiness goals
The volunteer should plan on average of 5-10 hours per week and have ability to come in to the main Houston office during business hours periodically.
It takes about 5-10 minutes to finish application then we can proceed to the next step and do a 15 minute interview to make sure we find the right fit!
