The Houston Community ToolBank keeps thousands of tools in motion; powering projects, supporting nonprofits, and strengthening our city every single day. With all that impact, some wear and tear is bound to happen!
That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a dependable Tool Maintenance Volunteer to help repair and maintain tools so they can get right back out into the community where they’re needed most
Equipment you may work on:
Generators
Power washers
Lawnmowers
Tillers
Other small engine equipment
Typical tasks include:
Carburetor cleaning and repair
Replacing spark plugs
Diagnosing issues and swapping worn or broken parts
General small engine maintenance
Time Commitment:
Flexible! Ideally once a week or every other week, depending on your availability.
What you’ll need:
Closed-toe shoes
Work clothes
Whether you’re a seasoned mechanic or someone who enjoys tuning engines and solving mechanical problems, we’d love your help. Any skill level is welcome, and your work helps keep vital tools in the hands of nonprofits that need them most.
