Passion to Purpose is a Houston-based youth development nonprofit serving girls and young women ages 9–18. As our organization continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Human Resources professional who is passionate about using their skills to help strengthen a growing nonprofit from the inside out.
We are seeking a volunteer with at least 3 years of Human Resources experience to help us develop strong, organized, and sustainable HR practices for our volunteers and future team members.
How You’ll Help
Our Volunteer HR Professional may assist with:
Developing and improving volunteer and staff onboarding processes
Reviewing volunteer applications and helping coordinate interviews
Creating and organizing HR policies, procedures, and documentation
Supporting volunteer recruitment and retention
Maintaining organized volunteer/personnel records
Helping develop role descriptions and expectations
Supporting background screening and onboarding processes
Providing guidance on professional HR best practices
Helping Passion to Purpose build systems that can grow with the organization
We’re Looking for Someone Who Has
3+ years of Human Resources experience
Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, or similar areas
Strong organizational and communication skills
Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
Ability to work independently and communicate consistently
A passion for youth development, community service, or nonprofit work
Nonprofit HR experience is a plus, but it is not required.
