April 2024 marks 100 years since the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, opened its doors. From its original site on a modest triangle of land, the MFAH has grown into a 14-acre main campus, plus two house museums and gardens. One hundred years ago, the Museum had 60 works of art. Today, the collection holds more than 72,000 works of art.
Volunteers will circulate throughout the event to answer questions from guests and assist with the various activities. Activities/stations that they will be asked to assist with include:
- Greeters at welcome tables
- Loteria game table, checking-in, and distributing prizes
- Family Zone, Art Making Tables - crowd control
- Guide vendors to designated booths
- Wayfinding, festival grounds
Volunteers should be personable, tactful, and knowledgeable about the Museum and Museum programming. They should also work well with children and families.
