Through fun recreational, intentional, and educational activities at camps held throughout the year, Camp Quality USA brings children together in a non-hospital setting where they find hope, support, and understanding from their peers who understand a cancer diagnosis. Furthermore, we provide these camp opportunities at no cost to families.
Camp Quality USA - Texas Summer Camp 2026 will be held May 30-June 5, 2026 at Camp For All (6301 Rehburg Rd, Burton, TX 77835). Most volunteers will serve as a companion, a volunteer paired with a child battling cancer, acting as a personal friend, mentor, and "buddy" for the duration of the week-long camp. They provide 24/7 support, supervision, and cheerleading to help campers "just be kids," creating a safe and fun environment.
- One-on-One Support: Each companion is matched with a specific camper, ensuring constant supervision and a dedicated friend.
- Role & Responsibilities: They participate in all camp activities, offering emotional support, encouragement, and friendship. They are not medical staff, but help with daily needs and ensure safety.
- Requirements: Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, pass a background check, and attend training to understand the needs of children with cancer.
