Food Pantry Intake Volunteer is an integral member of the food pantry team. The Intake volunteer helps check client information, help register clients, ensure smooth running of food distribution. Intake volunteers interact directly with clients and Wesley staff.
Essential Functions
- Greet clients when they arrive to Food Pantry
- Collect client name and contact information
- Enter client information into Wesley’s database
- Train in Wesley’s database
- Other duties as assigned
Skills, Abilities, Knowledge:
- Excellent oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Sound judgement in decision-making and exceptional boundaries related to confidential information
- Ability to represent Wesley with a high level of integrity and professionalism
- Team player who can interface with staff, volunteers, and community members
- Ability to speak English and Spanish
- Ability to work at least one Saturday per month
