Happy Juneteenth! Honor the commemoration of freedom and celebrate by wearing your favorite Kente cloth or dashiki when you volunteer with us.
Volunteer opportunities for individuals, corporations, schools, faith based and community organizations and others: Help out while sharing the value of volunteering with those you learn with, worship with, play with or work with - and have a blast doing it! Duties will vary with the makeup volunteers for shift. Most of the projects at the warehouse involve inspection, sorting, and repackaging of donated food items for community distribution.
PLEASE NOTE: On FAMILY NIGHTS ONLY, the Houston Food Bank invites children 4 & 5 years old to volunteer with their older brothers, sisters, & friends. Children & youth MUST be supervised by parent or guardian throughout the shift.
