The 2026 Green Films Festival is quickly approaching, and we're looking for volunteers. Volunteers are asked to stay for the full event and will be given an All Access Pass to enjoy the local and international films between volunteer duties!
ABOUT THE EVENT
On Saturday, January 17, CEC is hosting a celebration of cinema, environmental activism, and community that brings together powerful stories that inspire action for our planet. This year’s festival unites the best of Houston’s voices with global perspectives. Be moved by inspiring films from the nationally acclaimed Wild and Scenic Film Festival On Tour and our homegrown Wild About Houston film festival, and then join us for a post-screening panel discussion with local environmental experts and advocates.
SHIFT & CAPACITY
- 12 noon - 6:00 pm
- Minimum of 8 volunteers needed, maximum of 16 will be accommodated. The more volunteers that show up, the less time each will spend volunteering during the 6-hr shift, allowing more time to view the films.
- Event setup; all volunteers
- Line Attendant and Ticket Checkers; 2 volunteers
- Ushers; 2 volunteers
- Ticket Booth; 2 volunteers
- Concessions (we will use their concession stand and maybe 1 extra table to offer popcorn, brewed coffee from Three Keys, canned sodas and trail mix bar for a suggested/optional donation.); 2 volunteers
- Photographer; reserved for Iain Cridland if he wants it! ;)
