Overview:
We are seeking caring and enthusiastic volunteers to provide childcare and host engaging activities for children on our campus while their parents participate in our LifeSkills classes. This role offers a unique opportunity to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children, giving parents the ability to focus fully on learning and personal growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage with children in a safe and positive manner

  • Plan and lead age-appropriate activities (games, crafts, reading, etc.)

  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere

  • Maintain a safe environment by following agency guidelines and child safety protocols

  • Communicate any needs or concerns to program staff

Qualifications:

  • Enjoy working with children and families

  • Reliable, responsible, and patient

  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures

  • Willingness to complete required background checks, fingerprinting, and TB test (provided by PCHAS at no cost)

Time Commitment:
LifeSkills classes typically take place once a month, with each session lasting approximately 2 hours. Volunteers may commit to one or more sessions per month.
