With severe weather approaching the Texas Gulf Coast, HUGGS Inc. is preparing volunteers to support potential emergency shelter operations.
No prior shelter experience is required. Training will be provided.
We are looking for volunteers who are:
• Available to support potential shelter activation
• Willing to complete required shelter training
• Able to assist with shelter setup, registration, client support, logistics, feeding, and other assigned shelter functions
• Available to respond on short notice if activated
Volunteers with previous American Red Cross or disaster-response training are encouraged to sign up as well.
This is a preparedness request. Shelter locations, shifts, deployment instructions, and training information will be provided as they become available.
