Key Responsibilities: To lead the board’s efforts in securing financial resources to support the mission of the organization.
Fundraising Strategy:
Develop and oversee the organization’s fundraising strategy in collaboration with staff and the board.
Set fundraising goals and ensure the board is actively engaged in reaching them.
Donor Engagement:
Cultivate relationships with major donors, sponsors, and supporters.
Encourage and support board members in their fundraising and donor stewardship roles.
Campaign Leadership:
Lead or support capital campaigns, annual giving, grant efforts, and special fundraising events.
Work closely with development staff (if present) to align efforts.
Reporting & Monitoring:
Monitor fundraising performance and report progress to the board regularly.
Identify opportunities for growth and diversification of funding sources.
Qualifications: Skilled in networking. Previous experience in fundraising and/or building partnerships.
