Attack Poverty | Friends of Northside, in partnership with Ecclesia Lindale will be hosting our 3rd Annual Posada! The Friends of Northside/Ecclesia Posada is a festive holiday event that involves delicious food, multicultural Christmas traditions, and opportunities for guests young and old to take home fun prizes! Volunteering to serve our Northside/Lindale friends and families during the Posada is an excellent opportunity to see what makes this community so special!

volunteers ages 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The following volunteer opportunities available:
Set Up/ Tear Down Team: Setup tables, tablecloths, table décor, kids activity tables, hospitality tables. Tear down of tables, chairs and general clean up.
Guest Registration: Register residents to obtain a headcount of guests and gather demographic information on each family in attendance.
Greeters: Welcome residents to our annual Posada! You will let our guests know what to expect of the evening and direct guests to the hot cocoa bar and sweet bread tables in the lobby. After guests are registered you will lead them into the venue where they will visit the Prayers and Wishes wall.
Foyer Food & Beverage Servers: Greet community members and serve sweet breads or assist at hot cocoa bar in foyer. Afterwards, direct registered guests into the venue for Caroling!
Venue Activities Team: Families will be instructed to write out prayers and wishes for the upcoming year and add to the wall. Encourage residents to participate in caroling before dinner. After dinner, watch for Loteria winners and confirm winning cards with caller.
Hospitality Team I (Servers and Bussers):
Servers - Will serve food, cafeteria style, to guests, replenish pans, plates, and utensils as needed, serve desserts the same way after competition.
Bussers - Bussers will assist with keeping our community room clean as guests enjoy their meal. Be mindful of guests as they finish their meal and kindly ask to take their trash and discard it. We want to serve our guests. Bussers will assist in cleaning tables, chairs, and spills.
Hospitality Team II: Smores on the Patio! You will help residents make smores on the patio, using burners to toast the marshmallows. Volunteers will oversee the toasting to ensure safety of participants.
Photos with Santa and Lobby Selfie Station: Assist guests with Santa Photos and the Selfie Station in the Lobby.
Kids Activity Area Attendants: Monitors and assist with kids activities. *BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIRED*
Friends of Northside is a location of Attack Poverty. Our mission is to strengthen under-resourced communities, such as the area, through spiritual growth, education, revitalization, and basic needs. We are making a long-term commitment to this area that requires collaborative efforts with churches, local organizations, residents, and stakeholders committed to community transformation.
