Join SPLASh and Houston Zoo and help us clean up Charles Milby Park!
We’re excited to have you join us on May 30th, 2026 from 9am to 11:30pm for a community cleanup focused on protecting our waterways, shorelines, and wildlife habitats.

We will be meeting in the parking lot closest to the soccer fields
Please register for yourself and anyone else from your family or group who plans to attend.
Volunteer Waivers Required
All volunteers must complete a waiver prior to participation. Please complete your liability waiver before arrival. All guests in your group must complete a waiver. Waivers will also be available onsite during check-in.

We have two volunteer opportunities for the day.
General Cleanup Volunteer: Cleanup trash in the area, no data collection required.
Data Collection Volunteer: Staff will lead a transect with your help! You will be guided in proper protocol to collect & itemize trash within an area. Arrive by 8:45am. No prior training required.
What to Bring / Expect:
- Closed-toe shoes recommended
- Dress for the weather and outdoor conditions
- Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray if needed
We will have gloves, trash bags, limited grabbers, and water on-site.
Communications
We will be sending an email to all registered volunteers a week before the event and one the day before with additional details on parking, where to meet, and updates regarding the weather.
