Cornerstone Family Resource Center is seeking a patient, encouraging virtual reading tutor to work one-on-one with a 12-year-old boy who needs extra support building reading skills and confidence.
Volunteer Role: Virtual Reading Tutor (1:1)
Format: Online (Zoom/Google Meet)
Commitment: 1–2 sessions per week (30–60 minutes), flexible scheduling
Start: As soon as possible
What you’ll do: Practice reading aloud and comprehension using age-appropriate materials Support vocabulary, fluency, and confidence Provide consistent encouragement and simple progress updates
Ideal volunteer: Enjoys working with youth and is dependable Experience in tutoring/education is helpful but not required Comfortable meeting virtually and following a simple session plan
