Event Helper — 63rd Annual Candlelight Tour The Heritage Society at Sam Houston Park Event

The Heritage Society is seeking friendly, reliable volunteers to support the 63rd Annual Candlelight Tour, a beloved holiday tradition at Sam Houston Park. Volunteers will help welcome guests, manage crowd flow, assist with check‑in, support museum operations, capture media content, and help with event setup and cleanup.
Responsibilities:
Greeter Support — Welcome guests at entrance gates and historic houses.
Crowd Control — Help direct visitor flow and maintain safe pathways.Check‑In Clerks — Assist with ticket scanning and guest check‑in.
Museum Clerks — Provide basic visitor assistance inside the Museum.
Media & Content Creation — Capture photos and short video reels for social media.
Event Setup & Cleanup — Help prepare and reset spaces before and after the tours.
Ideal Volunteer or Group: Friendly, dependable, and comfortable working with the publicEnjoys holiday events and historic settingsGreat for corporate teams, service clubs, student groups, and families
Media volunteers should have basic photo or video experience
Time Commitment: Evening shifts from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on December 12 and December 13
Volunteers may sign up for one or both evenings
Orientation will be provided prior to the event
